Alberto Moreno

Alberto Moreno serves as the Associate Director of Transfer Admission and Enrollment Services at Loyola Marymount University (LMU). A proud product of the California Community College system and a first-generation college student, he began his academic journey at Long Beach City College before transferring to the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Chicana and Chicano Studies, Spanish, and Labor and Workplace Studies. He later returned to LMU to earn a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling.

As the proud son of resilient immigrants from Tepatitlán, Jalisco, México, Alberto has more than a decade of professional experience in higher education. He is deeply committed to advancing transfer student access, retention, and success through equity-driven, student-centered practices grounded in social justice advocacy. Outside of his professional work, Alberto enjoys spending time with loved ones, going to the beach and the movies, and expressing his creativity through photography.
