Commitment:

  • Apply by February 1 and achieve the agreed upon minimum GPA.
  • Complete at least 30 units of transferable coursework prior to the deadline.
  • Be enrolled full time in consecutive terms
  • Note that GPA and unit requirements must be met by the application deadline.
  • Requirements for All BCLA Majors:

    Complete a minimum of 30 semester units prior to filing an application for admission to LMU with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and enroll full-time in consecutive terms at College of the Canyons with a minimum 3.00 GPA in one or both of those terms.

    Additional Requirements for the Following Majors:

    Psychology: Students must meet all the above requirements for Liberal Arts, plus successfully complete Introduction to Psychology (PSYC C1000) and Intro to Statistics (STAT C1000), with a grade of “B” or better at College of the Canyons in each course.

    Economics: Students must meet all the above requirements for Liberal Arts, plus successfully complete Principles of Macro (ECON C2002) and Principles of Micro (ECON C2001), Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210) plus Intro to Statistics (STAT C1000), with a grade of “B” or better at College of the Canyons in each course.

    Political Science/International Relations: Students must meet all the above requirements for Liberal Arts, plus successfully complete an introductory course in Intro to Political Science (POLISCI 150), with a grade of “B” or better at College of the Canyons.

  • Requirements for All CFA Majors:

    Complete a minimum of 30 semester units prior to the application deadline with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and enroll full-time in consecutive terms at College of the Canyons with a minimum 3.00 GPA in one or both of those terms.

    Additional Requirements for the Following Majors:

    Communication Studies: Successfully complete Argumentation & Debate (COMS 225), as well as Interpersonal Communication (COMM C1004), with a grade of “B” or better at College of the Canyons in each course. Students must successfully demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of this major at LMU by specifically addressing their goals and expected outcomes related to this program of study in their application essay. Minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA.

  • Requirements for All CBA Majors:

    Complete a minimum of 30 semester units prior to filing an application for admission to LMU with a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, enroll full-time in consecutive terms with a minimum 3.00 GPA at College of the Canyons in one or both of those terms, and successfully complete Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210) at College of the Canyons with a “B” grade or better

  • Requirements for All Seaver Majors:

    Complete a minimum of 30 semester units prior to filing an application for admission to LMU with a with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and enroll full-time in consecutive terms at College of the Canyons with a minimum 3.00 GPA in one or both of those terms.

    General Engineering (Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering (B.S.E.), Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering): Students must meet all the above requirements for Seaver, plus successfully complete Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210), Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2220), General Chemistry (CHEM 201), and Intro to Physics (PHYSCI 101) with a grade of “B” or better at College of the Canyons in each course.

    Math and Science (Applied Math, Applied Physics, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Health and Human Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Data Science): Students must meet all the above requirements for Seaver, plus successfully complete Intro to Biology (BIOL C1000), General Chemistry (CHEM 201), General Chemistry (CHEM 202) and Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210), with a grade of “B” or better at College of the Canyons in each course.

    Computer Science (B.S.): Students must meet all the above requirements for Seaver, plus successfully complete C++ Object Oriented Programming (CMPSCI 236), Data Structures & Program Design (CMPSCI 182), plus successfully complete Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210) and Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2220), with a grade of “B” or better at College of the Canyons in each course.
