Santa Ana College
Commitment:
- Apply by February 1 and achieve the agreed upon minimum GPA.
- Complete at least 30 units of transferable coursework prior to the deadline.
- Be enrolled full time in consecutive terms
- Note that GPA and unit requirements must be met by the application deadline.

Students who complete a minimum of 30 transferable semester units prior to filing an application for admission to LMU with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and enroll full-time in consecutive terms at Santa Ana College with a minimum 3.00 GPA in one or both of those terms, will be guaranteed admission to Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts.
Majors with additional requirements and considerations:
1. Psychology – Students must meet all the above requirements for Liberal Arts, plus successfully complete:
- Introduction to Psychology (PSYC C1000) and
- Intro to Statistics (STAT C1000) OR Statistics with Support (STATC1000E) OR Statistics for Behavioral Science (PSYC 210) with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Ana College in each course.
2. Economics – Students must meet all the above requirements for Liberal Arts, plus successfully complete:
- Principles of Macro (ECON C2002)
- Principles of Micro (ECON C2001)
- Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210)
- Intro to Statistics (STAT C1000) OR Statistics with Support (STATC100E) with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Ana College in each course.
3. Political Science/ International Relations – Students must meet all the above requirements for Liberal Arts, plus successfully complete an introductory course in:
- American Government & Politics (POLS C1000) with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Ana College.

Students who complete a minimum of 30 transferable semester units prior to filing an application for admission to LMU with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA and enroll full-time in consecutive terms at Santa Ana College with a minimum 3.00 GPA in one or both of those terms, will be guaranteed admission to their major within the College of Communication and Fine Arts.
Majors with additional requirements and considerations:
- Communication Studies is a competitive major that may be oversubscribed. Accordingly, students must earn a minimum cumulative 3.30 GPA at Santa Ana College and meet all the above requirements for the College of Communication and Fine Arts. In addition, students must complete:
- Argumentation & Debate (CMST 140)
- Interpersonal Communication (COMM C1004) with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Ana College in each course.

- Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210) at Santa Ana College with a “B” grade or better will be guaranteed admission.

- Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210)
- Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2220)
- General Chemistry (CHEM 219)
- Engineering Physics 1 (PHYS 217) with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Ana College in each course.
2. Math and Science (Applied Math, Applied Physics, Biochemistry,Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Health and Human Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Data Science) – Students must meet all the above requirements for Seaver, plus successfully complete:
- Intro to Biology (BIOL C1000)
- General Chemistry (CHEM 219)
- General Chemistry (CHEM 229)
- Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210) with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Ana College in each course.
3. Computer Science (B.S.) – Students must meet all the above requirements for Seaver, plus successfully complete:
- C++ Object Oriented Programming (CMPR 120)
- Data Structures & Program Design (CMPR 131)
- Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2210)
- Analytical Geom/Calc (MATH C2220) with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Ana College in each course.
