Commitment:

  • Apply by November 1st and achieve the agreed upon minimum GPA.
  • Complete at least 30 units of transferable coursework prior to the deadline.
  • Be enrolled full time in consecutive terms
  • Note that GPA and unit requirements must be met by the application deadline.
  • Requirements for All BCLA Majors:

    Complete a minimum of 30 semester units prior to the application deadline with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA, and a minimum 3.0 GPA in each term.

    Additional Requirements for the Following Majors:

    Psychology: Successfully complete General Psychology (PSYCH 001) and Statistics, with a grade of “B” or better at LACCD in each course.

    Economics: Successfully complete Macroeconomics (ECON 001) and Microeconomics (ECON 002), and Statistics with a grade of “B” or better at LACCD in each course.

    Political Science/International RelationsComplete an introductory course in this subject, with a grade of “B” or better at LACCD. Minimum GPA for admission is 3.50.

    Complete a minimum of 30 semester units prior to the application deadline with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA, and a minimum 3.0 GPA in each term.

    Additional Requirements for the Following Majors:

    Communication Studies: Successfully complete Argumentation and Debate and Small Group/Interpersonal Discussion, with a grade of “B” or better at LACCD in each course. Students must successfully demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of this major at LMU by specifically addressing their goals and expected outcomes related to this program of study in their application essay. Minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA.

    Complete a minimum of 30 semester units prior to the application deadline with a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, and a minimum 3.00 GPA in each term. Successfully complete Business Calculus with a “B” grade or better.
