Commitment:

  • Apply by February 1 and achieve the agreed upon minimum GPA.
  • Complete at least 30 units of transferable coursework prior to the deadline.
  • Be enrolled full time in consecutive terms
  • Note that GPA and unit requirements must be met by the application deadline.
  • Requirements for All BCLA Majors:

    Complete a minimum of 30 semester units prior to the application deadline with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.

    Additional Requirements for the Following Majors:

    Psychology: Successfully complete General Psychology (PSYCH 100) and Statistics (MATH 117) with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Barbara City College in each course.

    Economics: Successfully complete Microeconomics (ECON 101) and Macroeconomics (ECON 102) and Statistics (Math 117) with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Barbara City College in each course.

    Political Science/International Relations: Complete an introductory course in this subject, with a grade of “B” or better at Santa Barbara City College. Minimum GPA for admission is 3.50.

    Complete a minimum of 30 semester units prior to the application deadline with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.

    Additional Requirements for the Following Majors:

    Communication Studies: Successfully complete Argumentation and Debate (COMM 235) and Interpersonal Communication (COMM 121), with a grade of “B” or better in each course at Santa Barbara City College. Students must successfully demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of this major at LMU by specifically addressing their goals and expected outcomes related to this program of study in their application essay. Minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA.
